As a foodie who considers himself working class I understand the cost of food versus the quality of food argument and clearly there is a bit of tension in this program from both sides of the fence.

However, regardless of the quality of the food, people buy people, and never again will I set foot in a Little Chef as long as ian Pegler is in charge.

This man has taken advantage of the Heston and Channel 4 and is attempting to use this new type of marketing to increase the profile of the failing Little Chef brand. But additioanlly, he is attempting to raise his own profile, which in my book, is unacceptable and smacks of his lack of belief in tunring around the business. Nothing better for an 'out of work' exec than a little raising of the profile.

Furthermore, he is so out of touch with reality it is unbelieveable and who told him he was a Michelin Food Judge? Calling him an idiot would be foolish. He persuaded Heston and Channel 4 this was more than marketing. However, his plans are so transparent it is ridiculous.

I agree - great viewing!

I can't help feeling that MD Ian is out of touch with his customers and has no intention of taking Heston's ideas on board. The only way to get people back into LC is a complete brand refresh - right from Formica tables to the little guy himself!
